Emma Osborn
“Signed” by Emma Osborn is a unique photography project inspired by De’VIA art (Deaf View Image Art) and explores combining American Sign Language signs with photography techniques in ways never done before. Each work of art portrays a single sign and captures the beautiful movements, from start to finish, integral to the equally beautiful language. Emma hopes that this and other projects she plans to create in the future will empower the Deaf community to be further inspired to illustrate their Deaf experience in ways that only they can and that her hearing audience gains a new appreciation for their culture and language.
