Beyond its reputation as a mere resort destination for tourists, Big Bear is a cherished home for its residents, each with an individual story to tell about their experience on the mountain. Through a blend of composed portraits and natural landscapes, these photographs capture the essence of this mountain community post-COVID, amid environmental and political challenges. This project serves as an archive of contemporary existence, exploring the stories of fringe and active community members. This body of work is currently ongoing and will grow and evolve alongside the community it explores.
