CBU Photography presents “Interlude,” a group exhibition featuring the photographic work of current students within the photography program at California Baptist University. The work on display represents a variety of projects from the 2022 Fall Semester.
During the hustle and bustle of a busy semester full of creative endeavors, “Interlude” comes as a moment of reflection during the pause between two semesters, our natural resting point. A chance to look at what has been created these past few months and dream of what will come.
The aesthetic styles and subject matter vary widely from photographer to photographer. However, the passion for the craft is apparent throughout. Works have been selected to best exemplify attention to technical proficiency, aesthetic values, fearless experimentation, visual storytelling, and the decisive moment.
These photographers work tirelessly to create portfolio-defining work with care and intentionality. Emphasizing their narratives and ideals in a post-pandemic world. They were curated in a constant conversation between aesthetics, concepts, and narrative. All while engaging the viewer.
You are invited as the viewer to engage with the work through select interactive elements. Let your mind consider these details about the work and how the styles of the different photographers vary.
As we pause between semesters, these photographers consider their next photographic endeavors.
