FOCUS photo l.a. is please to collaborate with OPEN SHOW Los Angeles. PHOTO LA and OPEN SHOW LA will host a special event with artist talks that feature curated presenters from the winners of the FOCUS photo l.a. competition that will be exhibiting at photo l.a.

ABOUT OPEN SHOW
OPEN SHOW is a global organization with local chapters around the world. OPEN SHOW LA provides a forum for our community of visual storytellers to share their projects. About each month, photographers, filmmakers and multimedia producers gather at different venues around town for an evening of live presentations and lively conversations. At OPEN SHOW LA, we like to "get your work seen".

OPEN SHOW FORMAT
4-6 curated presenters have 15 minutes each to introduce one project/portfolio. Approximately 20-25 images will be shown via projection while the presenter provides insightful narratives. Both ongoing and completed work is accepted. We welcome dialog on diverse topics in any genre ranging from documentary to fine art.

Endemic Treasures by Professor Fred Brashear Jr

“ I use original techniques to create genuine handmade Joshua tree paper. Once created, I adhere images taken of the remaining untouched landscape through a lift transfer process onto the handmade paper, making each piece a one of a kind print that is not only of the landscape, but from the landscape.”
