Through landscape photography, Kayla Yogi delves into the notion of quiet solitude, aiming to find peace within herself. Yogi’s photographic work explores feelings of confusion, doubt, loneliness, and anxiety through life's unanswerable questions. Yogi photographed different places at different moments in time to help inform the viewer of the importance of the question rather than being driven only to find the right answers. These photographs serve as a platform to translate between emotions, time, and space in an effort to search for peace in the unknown. Like Yogi, these scenes of Southern California and Hawaii contemplate the ambiguities of life, searching for a purpose and destination.
