Ryan Fields’ photography explores the many fine details that go into every surfboard. Details that can make these boards glide and turn on a dime, or drag and bog out. Surfboard making is a long process, from shaping out of the parent's garage, to eventually a full-size bay, shaping is an art form. This project consists of documentary-inspired photographs meeting different local surfboard shapers and finding out what makes them unique, and why they shape surfboards.
